Accor adds 143-room Novotel to Sydney’s northwest growth hub - novotel sydney
The 143-room Novotel Sydney Castle Hill will join Nova Rêve’s mixed-use precinct near Castle Hill’s major shopping and transit hubs.

Accor has finalized an agreement with local developer Reve Group to build a new 143-room Novotel in Sydney’s northwest, representing the first collaboration between the two companies. The property, named Novotel Sydney Castle Hill, is scheduled to open in early 2029 and will be part of the Nova Rêve precinct—a mixed-use development blending residential living, retail outlets, and public spaces near Castle Hill’s major shopping and transit centers.

This initiative aligns with growing investment in Sydney’s northwest, where infrastructure improvements and commercial expansion are driving economic activity. The hotel will feature dining options, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and meeting rooms to accommodate both corporate and leisure travelers. Reve Group, headquartered in the Hills District, has established a strong development portfolio in the region. The Nova Rêve complex alone will include 361 apartments, 1,600 square meters of retail space, and nearly an acre of landscaped gardens, enhancing the area’s appeal.

Accor’s decision to enter this market reflects a broader trend toward integrated hospitality within urban environments. The company currently manages over 620 Novotel hotels across 70 countries, and this partnership strengthens its presence in Australia. Duncan O’Rourke, CEO for Accor’s Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific region, stated that established brands play a key role in adapting to changing travel behaviors in rapidly expanding markets.

Adrian Williams, Accor’s Pacific chief operating officer, pointed to Castle Hill’s emergence as a key growth area, supported by ongoing transport and residential development. The hotel will function as a central venue for events, dining, and professional gatherings, further solidifying the precinct’s position as a destination for both tourists and residents. Sam Kassis, managing director of Reve Group, described the project as a community asset, bringing international recognition to the district through a well-known hospitality brand.
