Cloud5 Communications has hired two executives with extensive experience in hospitality technology to bolster its leadership team, as it continues to broaden its service offerings for hotels throughout the Americas. The company revealed that Mike Dickersbach will serve as Chief Technology and Transformation Officer, while Rick Galloway will take on the role of Vice President of MSP Operations. Both bring decades of expertise in hotel IT and operational management.
Dickersbach will report directly to Mark Holzberg, Cloud5’s president and CEO, and will be responsible for shaping the company’s technology strategy, overseeing system integration, and driving digital transformation efforts. This comes as Cloud5 expands its Managed IT Services (MSP) and Managed Security Services (MSSP) portfolios, including the recent acquisition of interTouch CALA, which extended its reach into the Caribbean, Latin America, and South America. Prior to joining Cloud5, he held the position of Chief Information and Digital Officer at Highgate, where he led initiatives in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven solutions for global hospitality and real estate operations.
The new appointment aligns with Cloud5’s commitment to merging industry-specific knowledge with scalable technology solutions. With its client base now exceeding 5,000 hotels across the Americas, the company prioritizes operational efficiency and seamless integration. Dickersbach’s dual perspective, having worked both as an operator and a service provider, positions him well to guide Cloud5’s growth in response to the evolving demands of hoteliers.
Galloway, who will report to Marc Vaughn, Cloud5’s Senior Vice President of Operations, has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including two decades at Marriott International. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Global Technology, where he led a 24/7 Priority Incident Response Team and emphasized proactive problem-solving in hotel IT systems. At Cloud5, he will enhance the MSP division’s service delivery and customer experience as the company scales its managed services.
Both executives bring a unique blend of hospitality industry insight and technical expertise. Dickersbach has noted that his career has involved looking at technology from the hotel operator’s perspective, where reliability, simplicity, and measurable business value matter most.
