Sydney’s newest hotel, Atura Oran Park, has selected an experienced leader to guide its opening in late May. Shannon Craig, who has spent more than 20 years in hotel management across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, will take on the position of General Manager. Her career includes leadership roles at Rydges Parramatta and QT Canberra, among other well-known properties.
Craig will direct the final preparations before the hotel opens, including hiring staff, setting up systems, and connecting with the local area. “The goal is to ensure Atura Oran Park becomes an active part of that transformation from its first day.” The property will serve both residents and travelers, playing a role in the region’s development.
The decision aligns with Atura Hotels’ approach of merging operational skills with community involvement. Craig’s experience in varied settings, from airport hotels to resort operations, will help shape the property’s direction in Sydney’s growing hospitality sector.
